About

I'm Lucina Twigg - a counsellor, educator, and wellness practitioner with over 15 years of experience supporting people across four countries (Australia, Vietnam, Tanzania, and Seychelles).

My approach is grounded in respect, empathy, compassion, and positive regard. I believe in meeting you where you are, without judgment, and empowering you to navigate your journey with confidence and clarity.

My Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Psychology and Counselling (2023)

  • Master of Education in Career Guidance (completion June 2027)

  • Teaching Degree (four-year Diploma in Teaching 2006)

  • Certificate III in Fitness (2022)

  • Registered with the Australian Counselling Association (ACA)

  • 15+ years teaching and mentoring experience across diverse cultural contexts

My Approach

I specialise in integrating movement and nature into therapeutic practice. Research shows that walking while talking reduces anxiety, enhances creative thinking, and creates a less intimidating environment for difficult conversations. Whether we meet in a counselling room, in a park, along coastal paths, outdoors at a café, or online, I tailor each session to what works best for you.

Beyond traditional counselling, I bring expertise in career development, cross-cultural understanding, and holistic wellness. I'm multilingual (English, French, Seychellois Creole) and have worked with students and adults from over 78 nationalities.

Beyond Work:

I'm passionate about martial arts (karate, muay Thai, jujitsu), perform with an Afrobeats cultural group, and love exploring nature with my family. I believe in practicing what I preach - staying active, connected to community, and continuously learning.

Mission

To assist and advocate for clients on their personal journey through respect, empathy, compassion, and positive regard.

Vision

To tailor individualised programs best suited to helping clients actualise their full potential.

Ready to Take the first step?

Whether it's in a counselling space, a walk in the park or a quiet online chat, your first session is simply a conversation, no pressure, just space to be heard.

Grateful

Grounded in care

I believe everyone deserves a safe space to be heard, understood, and supported. My practice is grounded in warmth, respect, and practical strategies that fit your real life, not a one-size-fits-all approach.
